Or, everything may be perfect about the rug but the color. The Rug Gallery offers custom rugs and carpeting for that reason! We’re right here in Cincinnati, ready to help you create the exact type of rug you’re looking for.

Right pattern, wrong color? No problem! Right pattern, wrong size? We’ve got you covered. Let us help you choose the correct rug size for your room. Just bring in the measurements and we’ll take it from there. We even do custom padding! We will recommend the best pad and custom cut it to fit your rug.

Sizes

We can take wall-to-wall carpet and cut it to the size and shape you want. Or, let us put existing patterns together from the broadloom: you pick the colors, size, and shape and we can do the rest! If you’re in the market for something really unique, we can hand-knot a special order rug based on the colors and size you select.

Cost

If hearing the words “custom rugs” makes you see dollar signs (and not in a good way), fear not! Ordering exactly what you want is less expensive than you might think. In most cases, there’s not too much difference in price between something custom versus “off the rack.” Usually, it’s maybe within a 15%-20% range difference in price—not terribly dramatic when you consider you’re getting something just for you.

Colors

Rugs come in a lot of colors, but not every color. If you’re having trouble finding the perfect shades to tie your room together, our experts can help you choose from our hundreds of color options. No matter what shade, we will work diligently to bring you the right color to your custom rug.

Order Timeframe

How long it takes to get your custom rug will depend on what type you order, not the size of it. (A custom stair runner takes just as long a full-size rug.) If you’re interested in customizing something off a broadloom, the fabrication process may take about three to four weeks. Hand-knotting, of course, takes longer due to the craft and skill involved. Depending on the pattern, completing these special orders can take anywhere from three months for a Tibetan rug with a couple of colors to one full year for a multi-color Persian rug.
